Bill Mazeroski Autographed 1960 Pittsburgh Pirates Yearbook. The yearbook is in very good condition with a couple of minor creases on the front cover. The front cover contains a beautiful blue Sharpie signature. The Board of Directors includes Bing Crosby, and there is a picture of Vice President Nixon throwing out the first pitch at the 1959 All Star Game. There are biographies of all of the players and coaches, including Danny Murtaugh, George Sisler, Roberto Clemente, El Roy Face, Smoky Burgess, Dick Groat, Bob Friend, Harvey Haddix, Don Hoak, Vern Law, Bill Mazeroski, Richard Stuart, Bob Skinner, Bill Virdon, Bob Veale, and Gene Michael. The yearbook contains lots of pictures and team records, 1960 team schedule, as well as an all time Pirates roster. Bill played in 2163 games over 17 seasons with the Pittsburgh Pirates from 1956-1972. He was named to the National League All Star team during seven different seasons, and he won a Gold Glove Award as a second baseman 8 times. He was a member of the 1960 and 1971 World Series Champion Pirates, and his walk off home run in the bottom of the ninth inning of Game 7 in the 1960 World Series remains one of the most celebrated events in major league baseball. It is the only walk off home run in the 7th game of the World Series in history!! Bill retired with a lifetime .260 batting average and 2016 hits, including 138 home runs and 853 RBI's. The Pirates have retired his #9 jersey. Bill was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2001. A statue honoring Bill and his World Series winning home run has been erected outside Pittsburgh's PNC Park.
