Chris played hockey professionally for 8 years after attending Acadia University. He played from 1999-2003 in the ECHL and WCHL, before playing overseas in Germany and Italy for 4 years. In his two years with the Ice Dogs, he played in 140 regular season and 5 playoff games, collecting 15 goals and 49 assists, to go along with 179 penalty minutes. He was the second leading scorer on the team during the 2002-03 campaign. The Long Beach Ice Dogs began as the Los Angeles Ice Dogs in the IHL for the 1995-96 season, after relocating the San Diego Gulls franchise. They moved to the WCHL for the 2000-01 season and played in the WCHL for three seasons, until the league foled and was absorbed by the ECHL for the 2003-04 season. This iteration of the jersey represents a three year stint in the WCHL, and as such is relatively uncommon. It is one of the best logos and nicest jerseys in minor league sports!
